I experienced a Cyber Attack during today’s webinar on Google Meet, which was both shocking and unexpected.
This incident raised two crucial questions in my mind:
🔹 Why do people carry out hashtag CyberAttacks?
– hashtag Financial gain: hashtag Cybercriminals aim to steal sensitive data like credit card numbers for monetary gain.
Most attacks are facilitated through Bots and AI, offering high rewards at minimal costs.
– hashtag Revenge: Some attacks intend to cause chaos or embarrassment as a form of retaliation or challenge.
Today, our Russian friends were on a mission while hacking, showcasing an intellectual challenge with ‘white hat’ hacking (a session for another day).
Learnt a new term that Amateur hackers are known as ‘script kiddies’.
Phew, so much learning for the day!
